March Is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month
Colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers—but it’s also one of the most preventable and treatable when found early.
That’s why March is dedicated to raising awareness about:
Early detection saves lives. Many people with early-stage colorectal cancer have no symptoms at all, which is why getting tested is so important—even if you feel fine.
Colorectal cancer often starts as small growths called polyps in the colon or rectum. Over time, some of these can turn into cancer. Screening can:
- Find cancer before symptoms appear
- Detect and remove precancerous polyps
- Greatly increase survival rates when cancer is caught early
- Give you peace of mind about your health
Screening is recommended for many adults starting at midlife, and earlier for those with certain risk factors or family history
We’re proud to partner with Site Labs to help connect patients with a colorectal cancer clinical research study.
Clinical trials play a critical role in:
- Improving cancer treatments
- Advancing early detection methods
- Helping doctors learn what works best for patients
- Giving patients access to new and innovative care options
By participating, you’re not only taking a proactive step for your own health—you’re also helping improve care for others.
Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month is the perfect time to:
- Learn about your screening options
- Talk to your healthcare provider
- Take a proactive step for your health
- Consider participating in important research
Your health matters—and early action can make a life-saving difference.
